2021 Honda Pilot at Pearson Honda

The Honda Pilot is one of the most capable SUVs on the planet, and it gets even better in 2021. For starters, the Pilot seats up to eight passengers, and the third-seat is roomy enough for adults. There is also plenty of room for cargo too, so it doesn't matter if you're piling the back seat with groceries or folding down the rear seat to haul surfboarding equipment; the Honda Pilot has got you covered. We are also impressed with the 3.5-liter V6 engine, which provides you with enough power while still giving you a smooth ride. There is so much that the Honda Pilot has to offer in 2021. Please continue reading to find out everything it offers.

What engine is available for the Honda Pilot?

With the 2021 Honda Pilot, the power is evident. When you lift the hood, you'll find a 3.5-liter V6 engine that blasts out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to its front-wheels, though all-wheel-drive is an available option. The Elite and Black Edition come standard with all-wheel-drive.  Pairing with this engine is a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission that provides you with the best possible drive. We love everything about this engine, and we know that you will too!

What features are available for the Pilot?

With seven possible trims, the Honda Pilot is packed to the brim with available features. Kicking things off is the LX, which comes with automatic LED headlights, a five-inch central display screen, and a seven-speaker audio system. Moving up to the EX brings even more features such as keyless entry, heated mirrors, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The EX-L adds to this with a power liftgate, sunroof, leather upholstery, second-row sunshades, and second-row USB charging ports. Higher-trims of the Pilot add wireless smartphone charging, a hands-free liftgate, navigation system, rear entertainment system, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

What are some of the safety features?

Safety is as much of a concern to Honda as it is to you, which is why the Honda Pilot comes with premier safety features on every trim level. The base LX comes with Adaptive Cruise Control, which adjusts your speed so that you maintain a constant distance between you and the cars in front. There is also Forward Collision Warning with automatic braking that warns you of an impending accident and can even apply the brakes in certain situations. The Lane-Keeping System helps you make minors steering corrections that help you keep the Pilot centered in the lane. The EX adds on to this with a Blind Spot Monitor, which lets you know when another vehicle is traveling in your blind spot, and Rear Cross Path Detection warns you if a vehicle is about to cross behind you while the Pilot is in reverse.
