2023 Honda Accord Earns IIHS Top Safety Rating

The Honda Accord adds to the six models that have won and earned the IIHS Top Safety Pick rating or better for the 2023 model year. In addition, four models have achieved the pinnacle Top Safety Pick rating, including the Honda Accord, HR-V, and CR-V. Honda has a long-standing "Safety is for Everyone" approach, which means safety for everyone sharing the road. The Honda Sensing suite of safety features and driver-assisting technologies come standard on every Honda model, including the Accord. There are more than six million Honda vehicles on the road right now that have these safety features, which, in 2023, include a Collision Mitigation Braking System with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control. To qualify for the 2023 Top Safety Pick, a vehicle must earn good ratings in all evaluations, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, and updated side test. Vehicles also need an advanced or superior performance in the nighttime and daytime pedestrian tests for the higher award and acceptable or good ratings for headlights on every trim level.
