American Honda recently revealed that sales for the Honda Division increased 4.8 percent over the record results 2015 recorded, establishing a new annual total vehicle sales standard. 1,476,582 Honda vehicles were sold in 2016, with Accord, CR-V and Civic combining for more than 1 million of those sales.

CR-V set new all-time annual and monthly sales records, while Civic realized the model’s new best-ever annual sales numbers. The new Ridgeline enjoyed its best sales month since its debut, and the HR-V achieved dramatic sales increases of more than 90 percent for both December and the entire year. In all, Honda truck sales jumped 19 percent in December, and grew 6.7 percent for the entire year.

Jeff Conrad, senior vice president & general manager of the Honda Division, commented, "It was an amazing year for the Honda brand with our product lineup full of industry best models. Our strong December also builds momentum for 2017, which is shaping up to be another great year as still more new Honda products will give customers exciting new choices."
