Keep your Honda clean

One of the best Honda tips we can give you is to ensure that the outside of your vehicle is clean and polished. Be sure to go to a car wash frequently for your Honda, or you can do it yourself at home with a bucket of soap and water. This will remove any sort of debris and prevent your Honda from rusting. If you are doing it yourself, be sure to find yourself a nice and shady spot so you can work better. It is best to wash your Honda in the morning or evening when there is not much sun if you can't wash your car in the shade. Once the entire surface is wet and soapy, and spray it with a hose with a spray nozzle. Dip your sponge into the bucket and begin the process by scrubbing down the roof of your car.

Dry your Honda after washing

Once you are done washing your Honda, you must ensure that you dry it well. You can dry your Honda with a soft cloth and a clean towel that you will only use for drying off your vehicle. Better still, you might want to invest in a set of microfiber towels or chamois. If you go with chamois to dry off your Honda, know that they are leather cloths designed to soak up water much better than microfiber cloths while preventing any water spots.

Apply protection

Once you have dried off your Honda, be sure to pour, or dab some vinyl and rubber protectant onto a clean rag and start wiping down any vinyl, plastic, or rubber parts on the exterior of your Honda. Be sure also to include your doors and window moldings, trim, rearview mirrors, and tires. You are going to want to wipe down your Honda in a circular motion so that you are getting complete coverage. You're going to need to wait for all the protectant to be absorbed so the surface will look and feel dry. Then take a new rag and wipe down all of the parts of your Honda that we have mentioned above.

Wax your Honda

When you apply wax to your Honda, you will help protect the paint and finish of your vehicle. Wax will also help protect your Honda's exterior from  UV rays, salt, splattered insects, and bird droppings while also allowing it to look shiny and new. You can get wax in several forms, including paste, liquid, or cream. There is a lot of debate as to which wax is best, but if you ask the experts, most will go with a  carnauba-based wax. Applying wax to your Honda will typically last you around six to eight weeks. Before you use your wax, either dip an applicator pad into the wax container if you have a paste or creme or pour a small amount onto a pad if it's a liquid. You will find that most waxes are sold with applicator pads, but they can also be purchased separately. When it comes time to apply the wax, apply it to one section of your Honda at a time and avoid anything that is plastic or rubber.
