Change windshield wipers

One of the first things we want to point your attention to is your windshield wipers. The winter months can be particularly devastating to them, and they could be potentially damaged, leaving you unable to see as clearly out of your front windshield. That's why we are recommending that you get them changed, and if you need any assistance with that, Pearson Honda is here for you!

Tire maintenance

Your tires should always be at the top of any checklist that you have, especially after dealing with a harsh winter. The first thing you really want to do is check the psi, ensuring that your tires are neither over or under-inflated, which both have their drawbacks. We also want you to take the time to check the treads, to make sure that there is enough tread on your tires to really get the traction that you need.

Car wash

Beyond just checking different parts of your vehicle, you really do need to wash winter off of your Honda. Salt and sand can cause issues down the line, especially when it comes to the undercarriage of your vehicle. With a proper car wash, you should be able to clear off anything that has accumulated, in hopes of better preserving your vehicle for the future!

Check your battery

The last thing we really believe should be focused on at this time is the battery in your Honda. Batteries can really take a hit in the cold weather, and could even lose charge. That's why you should check all of the wires for corrosion, and get the battery tested to see if it has been losing its charge or not. If your battery is over 5 years old, it might be time to get it replaced.
