The 2020 Honda Pilot is a next-generation 3-row SUV that offers a roomy interior and solid performance. Pilot LX Trim Model
The base LX trim model starts the Pilot off with a set of features that work into each other model. The interior is spacious and roomy providing comfortable seating for eight different passengers at a time. Some of the key interior features we see included are a manual air conditioning system, powered windows with auto-up/down in the front, cruise control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, rear-seat heating ducts, and an infotainment system housed on a 5-inch display with seven-speaker sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and USB ports. The interior has a flexible seating/storage capacity that is classic to the 3-row SUV class, with split-folding 2nd and 3rd-row seats that open up the back to transform the Pilot into a cargo-carrying machine.
The Pilot also comes fully outfitted with a great depth of safety and security features, that all start with an advanced airbag system that brings in front airbags and supplemental airbags throughout the interior cabin. The Pilot also includes other safety features such as a LATCH child-seat tethering system, child-proof rear door locks, vehicle stability assist, LED daytime running lights, anti-lock brakes, and seatbelt pre-tensioners. Honda also works in a great depth of driver aid features including automatic high beams, a collision mitigation braking system, road departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and more!
Pilot EX and EX-L Trim Models
The EX trim takes the core foundation of features found with the LX and builds in a larger 8-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system that includes smartphone integration, three-zone automatic climate control, one-touch 2nd-row power-sliding seats, power-adjustable and heated front seats with lumbar support, LED fog lights, and keyless entry/ignition.
The EX-L trim model is similar in the depth of features to the EX trim, but also brings in a one-touch power open/close moonroof, acoustic sound dampening windshield glass, a leather interior upholstery set, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a power-operated rear-tailgate.
Pilot Touring Trim Model
Moving up to the Touring trim model, Honda continues to work in more comfort and convenience-based features. The rear passengers receive heated seating as well as an advanced rear entertainment system that brings in 10.2-inch high-resolution screens with Blue-ray player and built-in streaming apps. The sound system also receives some enhancement, with a premium 590-Watt audio system that includes 10 speakers, multi-zone audio capability, and a subwoofer. Honda also adds in wi-fi hotspot capability for improved connectivity, a convenient 115-volt power outlet, roof rails, automatic LED headlights, and courtesy door lights added in.
Pilot Elite and Black Edition Trim Models
The Honda Pilot Elite is the highest level trim model brought in, giving the best in luxury and convenience with features including a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming/heated side mirrors, rain-sensing automatic windshield wipers, perforated heated/ventilated front seats, and a wireless phone charging dock. Honda also adds in an intelligent variable torque management system that automatically shifts the power distribution between each wheel for enhanced turns and traction control in slippery situations. The Black Edition mirrors all of the features found with the Elite trim model while giving the Pilot a unique interior and exterior design with trim-specific elements and accents.
