Honda has been setting the bar for midsize sedan models for years with the Accord model. For the 2021 model year, Honda is taking the Accord to new heights with updates to its safety features, drivability, technology, and styling. Honda also made enhancements to the design and performance of the Accord Hybrid model. Exterior and Interior Upgrades for the 2021 Accord
Each and every Accord model boasts a wider, restyled grille that delivers a more sophisticated look than model years past. There is also improved integration of the Honda Sensing system's radar unit. On either side of the grille, on the Sport trim levels and above, and new LED high- and low-beam headlights deliver wider and longer down-the-road illumination. There are also new alloy wheels designs and a new color option for certain trim levels. Moving inside the cabin, the Accord gains an 8-inch touchscreen standard on every trim level and standard smartphone integration as well. Certain trim levels also boast wireless smartphone charging and integration allowing a separate phone can be changed via the USB port. Each Accord also gains a Rear Seat Reminder.
The New Sport Special Edition
New for the 2021 model year is the Sport SE trim level. This model is replacing the EX 1.5T while expanding on the Sport trim level. The new Sport SE trim level comes outfitted with remote engine start, Smart Entry, heated mirrors, a 12-way power driver's seat, a four-way power passenger seat, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. Other features found within this trim level include an 8-speaker sound system, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and dual rear USB ports.
Safety and Driver-Assistive Technologies
In the 2021 model year, each and every Accord model comes outfitted with a new Rear Seat Reminder trim level that chimes when the car is turned off, reminding drivers that they need to check the rear seat for cargo, pets, or children before walking away. Each model also comes with a rear seat belt reminder that lets the driver know if rear seat passengers have not buckled their seatbelt yet. The Honda Sensing suite of safety features updates its features, Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
